What is it?

Gentle IVF treatment came about as an alternative that is more respectful of the woman’s body than Conventional IVF treatments. It is adapted to those patients who wish to use lower doses of hormones during treatment without forfeiting the maximum chances of pregnancy.

Although less aggressive, this technique allows a maximum of 3-5 good quality eggs to be extracted that will be fertilised in the laboratory to obtain the embryos that will finally be transferred.

What does it involve?

Gentle IVF is a less aggressive treatment, mainly due to the administration of lower doses of medication. This decreases side effects, promotes tolerance to treatment and reduces the risk of ovarian hyperstimulation.

This option also reduces the economic cost of the treatment, allows a smaller number of injections, reduced stimulation time and, in general, greater comfort for the mother-to-be.
