In cases where a good response to ovarian stimulation or IVF with donor eggs is expected, we offer embryo culture in incubator with time-lapse system (EmbryoScope+™) and embryo selection by artificial intelligence (iDAScore™).

This innovative tool helps us to select the best embryo to transfer first and thus achieve gestation in the shortest possible time.

In this assisted reproduction treatment, time-lapse technology is incorporated in the culture of the embryos generated in vitro and artificial intelligence for their selection.

For this, an IVF treatment is performed, either with the patient’s own eggs or donor eggs. Once the eggs have been extracted, they are inseminated with the seminal sample of the couple or of a donor. From this moment on, the embryos are introduced into an incubator with a time-lapse system (EmbryoScope+TM). This technology allows us to obtain images of the entire embryonic development, which translates into more information on the evolution of each embryo and fewer environmental changes, since it is not necessary to remove the embryos from the incubator for their evaluation.

When the embryos reach the blastocyst stage, we use the iDAScore™ artificial intelligence software, which provides us with a score for each embryo within its cohort.

The advantage of using artificial intelligence is that the system is able to analyze a large number of morphological and kinetic characteristics of the embryo and correlates them with implantation and evolutionary gestation data much faster than traditionally.
The embryo with the highest score will be the first to be transferred into the maternal uterus and the rest will be vitrified. Future embryo transfers will follow the order of prioritization provided by the artificial intelligence system.

STAGES OF THE PROCEDURE
01 Previous Tests

Those tests that your doctor has indicated that you need to start treatment. Generally, analysis and semen analysis (if applicable).

 

02 Procedure

Treatment preparation visit: In this visit the cycle is organized and explained, doubts are solved and the medication regimen for ovarian stimulation is given.

Ovarian stimulation: Administration of medication for 10-12 days to obtain the maximum number of oocytes on the day of extraction. During this stage the patient should visit the clinic every 2-3 days for ultrasound control.

Ovarian puncture: Oocyte extraction under sedation.

Embryo generation by IVF and embryo culture in time-lapse incubator until blastocyst stage.

Embryo selection by artificial intelligence: An embryo prioritization order is generated based on embryo morphokinetics.

If fresh embryo transfer is performed (same stimulation cycle), the best embryo will be transferred 5 days after egg insemination. If a delayed transfer is performed, it will be necessary to perform an endometrial preparation with the next menstrual period and will require several gynecological ultrasounds. Medication may be required and will be prescribed by your physician.

Embryo transfer: When the endometrium is prepared, the embryo transfer is performed. On that day, the embryo with the highest score in the prioritization score is thawed and, by means of an ultrasound-guided procedure, the embryo is placed in the ideal place in the uterus for implantation.

03 Gestational Control

Pregnancy test: Approximately 11 days after the transfer, a pregnancy test is performed.

Confirmation ultrasound: If the pregnancy test is positive, after 2 weeks we perform an ultrasound that confirms that the pregnancy is proceeding correctly.

Yes, you can lead a normal life during the treatment, except for a few days before and after the puncture. You cannot have sexual relations or perform high intensity physical exercise. Ovarian stimulation is a very well tolerated treatment by patients. During this process, you may experience abdominal distension, breast turgor and/or a certain degree of tiredness. On the day of the egg retrieval (ovarian puncture) you will have to rest and will not be able to work.
