Dr. Sofia Gaggiotti

Graduated in Medicine from the University of Barcelona (Hospital Clínic de Barcelona) and completed her MIR specialization in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Dexeus University Hospital from 2016 to 2020.

During her residency, she completed a training stay in Coventry, United Kingdom, focusing on implantation failure in patients undergoing assisted reproduction treatments. In 2020, she carried out a training stay in Berkeley, California (USA) under the supervision of Dr. Chetkowski, director of the Alta Bates assisted reproduction clinic.

She has published multiple studies in high-impact scientific journals, most of them focusing on the impact of serum progesterone in assisted reproduction treatments requiring frozen embryo transfer.

She obtained her Ph.D. in 2021, defending her thesis titled “Impact of Serum Progesterone on Reproductive Outcomes in Frozen Embryo Transfer Cycles”, receiving a Cum Laude distinction.

Additionally, she is a member of ESHRE and SEF, where she serves as the coordinator of the Young Interest Group of the latter.
