Interview
Why did you become a fertility expert?

We live in a fast-paced world. Amidst all the outside noise, it is not always easy for a woman or couple to find the time to become mothers and fathers. During my training as a doctor I saw many women and couples struggle with the frustration of not being able to conceive. I realized that society was not going to change, but that I could contribute and help them in their project of motherhood and fatherhood.

Why are you proud to work at Fertty?

Fertty has an essence that I have not seen or felt in other places. The center of everything is the patient, the personalized, careful, close and empathetic attention, but with the highest medical and scientific rigor. The Clinic’s own motto says it all: Maternity in positive. Sterility is a very frustrating and real health problem, giving it a positive approach, looking for the best way to help seems to me the best way to approach the solution to the problem. In addition, Fertty’s embryology lab is simply excellent.

What is your attitude with patients?

A first visit is a moment when a woman or a couple is entrusting me with their biggest dream. It is something that must be treated with closeness, respect, and professionalism. I am very honest in my assessments, you can’t let your criteria as a doctor be influenced by other factors that are not in the best interest of your patients.

Have there been patients who inspire you?

Always. Every doctor-patient relationship is different, so every process we start is a unique experience. My job is to recognize and identify the individual needs of my patients and to advise and accompany them throughout their assisted reproduction process. Regardless of the final outcome, being a doctor to your patients is always a privilege.

Have there been patients who inspire you?

One of my great passions is yoga. I discovered it a few years ago, and I have been incorporating the practice into my daily life. Nowadays it is another part of me that balances me and helps me to enjoy and value the day to day. I also like to paint and I’m a big fan of detective novels.

How would you describe your personality?

I think I’m a strange combination of tenacity, perfectionism, empathy and loyalty. I can also be too rigid at times, and a bit insecure. Change and new adventures are hard for me, but I’ve learned that when you take a few risks, everything is a great learning opportunity, it’s always a matter of focus.
